A recent study published by the University of North Carolina News Service has established for the first time the link between sedentary lifestyles in children and heart disease. The UNC medical research article concludes that inactive children are six times more likely to be at risk of heart attack disease, with the risk factor emerging in those as early as 14 years of age. These important findings add to what we already know about the need to increase exercise at an early age.
